Conquer and explore the South Downs National Park with this epic adventure. The South Downs 200 is 200 mile continuous trail event traversing the National Park from East to West and back again. The route is essentially a big loop on a variety of different trails mainly the Monarchs Way and South Downs Way. Entrants have 100 hours to complete the event whilst tackling rolling hills, forest trails, steep climbs and 23,000ft of elevation, This is a fully supported event with a marked route, 16 Aid Stations, 3 of which are sleep stations, and our amazing volunteers! This time of year will of course mean long daylight hours and hopefully warm sunny days. Crews and pacers are allowed and the event is open to both runners and walkers. It will be a UTMB Index race. As with all our events, it is beautiful but challenging!
Our permits are granted through ARC. Permit Number pending.
Entry Details:
For details on how to enter, please scroll to the bottom of the page.

Entries are available on a first come, first served basis and once it is full, they will be closed. There is no formal qualifying criteria needed to enter but entrants must display a strong background and experience of long distance running/hiking. In terms of single race completion, having finished a 100 mile event whether walking or running will almost certainly guarantee entry but not necessarily. Please Go to the "Register Now" button at the top of the page and join the waitlist by adding your details then send an email with full running/hiking experience to neil@ukultra.co.uk
After being accepted, entrants will be invited to enter online and then can pay the full amount in one go or over three instalment payments.
We cannot offer any refunds for this event The cost implications are so great to organise an event like this and many things need to be booked and paid for way in advance meaning refunds cannot be given.
If you can no longer make the event, there is the option of deferring your place to 2029 or transferring it to another runner. Deferrals to the following year can only be made up until four weeks before race day as can transferring to another runner. Deferrals can only be made once and there is a fee that must be paid in order to do this.
Pregnant women will be able to defer their place to 2029/30 if they wish and for a further 2 years if they fall pregnant again within that period. Please email neil@ukultra.co.uk if you wish to make any of these changes.
