The South Downs 20 miles is a beautiful route in a stunning location, through the South Downs National Park. It is an achievable, point to point trail race that is a great option for first time trail runners and, also a great way to prepare for marathons/longer events later in the year. Runners will start in the stunning location of Rathfinny Wine Estate before hitting the trail and following the route to the seaside town of Eastbourne. The views are spectacular and the course is a combination of grass trails with a few farm tracks dotted throughout with 2800 feet of elevation. There are some hilly sections, but also lots of flat runnable parts too.
