Welcome to the 2021 inaugural South Downs 100k brought to you by UK Ultra. A 100km point to point trail race from Arundel to Eastbourne. Starting in the picturesque town of Arundel in the shadows of the magnificent Arundel Castle the race passes through the South Downs National Park and some of the most beautiful countryside the UK has to offer. After accumulating over 8000 feet of climbing and descent runners will finish over the stunning white chalk cliffs of Beachy Head in the lovely seaside town of Eastbourne. Athletes of all abilities from novice to elite can sign up to take on the challenge in what we hope will become one of the classic UK Ultra races. The race is held under a full UK athletics permit granted through the Trail Running Association (Permit no. pending).

The South Downs 100K will be organised to go ahead with Covid-19 measures in place as specified by UK Athletics. Hopefully, by May 2021 these measures will no longer be necessary, however there is a chance that Covid-19 may still be a factor. For this reason, we have decided on the following policy: If the event is cancelled or postponed due to Covid-19, runners will be able to cancel their place and receive a refund of 70%. Alternatively, runners can defer their place, free of charge, to either a postponed date later in 2021 or to the following year's event in 2022 if the race is cancelled.
